I'm a NY based, Colombian-American female who has overcome some major hair problems.

My family comes from a country where there's a natural remedy for just about everything.

Though as an American, with a tendency to purchase products that were easily accessible to me and guilty of falling into trends, I damaged my hair so extensively that I ended up with severe hair loss and self-inflicted hair cuts from my hair breaking up to my shoulders naturally.

As a Latina, bad hair wasn't an option. I went back to abuelitas (grandma's) hair recipes and spent the past three years studying the effects of fresh fruits and extracts on different hair types. Life brings unexpected obstacles our way. I developed auto-immune diseases that may have had an impact on my hair's health, too. As a highly sensitive person, diagnosed with Lyme and Celiac Disease, I was always struggling with figuring out solutions to my own health.
